The Commission is seeking applications from legal practitioners for the following roles:
- Principal Lawyer, Grade VI (two permanent roles)
Principal Lawyers work as part of the Legal Services Unit and provide professional legal services to the Commission and its stakeholders on complex and challenging matters, including exercising a full range of legal and statutory decision-making functions of the Registrar, under delegation. Successful candidates will have substantial legal experience and a sound understanding of workers compensation law and administrative law.
- Senior Lawyer, Grade V (one permanent role)
The Senior Lawyer works as part of the Legal Services Unit and provides professional legal services to the Commission including maintaining resources materials such as the Commission’s practice manuals. The Senior Lawyer undertakes legal and statutory decision-making functions of the Registrar, under delegation. The successful candidate will have sound legal experience and understanding of workers compensation law and administrative law.
- Lawyer, Grade I-III (one temporary role, term up to two years)
The Lawyer works as part of the Legal Services Unit and provides professional legal services to the Commission including legal advice, case summaries and research to e- 2 contribute to the efficient and effective delivery of legal services. The Lawyer undertakes legal and statutory decision-making functions of the Registrar, under delegation.
