This bulletin outlines:
- Recruitment – Senior Arbitrator and Arbitrator appointments
The Workers Compensation Commission is seeking applications from suitably qualified and experienced individuals for Senior Arbitrator and Arbitrator appointments. There are several appointments available with attractive remuneration packages.
Senior Arbitrators and Arbitrators exercise quasi-judicial functions involving conciliation and arbitration of disputes under the NSW workers compensation legislation. Ideally, applicants will be qualified legal practitioners with sound knowledge of workers compensation law and practice, coupled with demonstrated alternative dispute resolution and facilitation skills and experience.
Appointments are for full-time and sessional roles. Full-time Senior Arbitrators and Arbitrators are based in Sydney. Sessional Arbitrators may be based in Sydney or regional locations relative to the 19 venues at which the Commission conducts proceedings.
