Release of 2018/19 Annual Review
I am pleased to present the Commission’s 2018/19 Annual Review.
The year was one of change and renewal for the Commission.
Long-time President, the Hon Greg Keating, retired after 11 years and I assumed the role of President.
The Commission launched its new customer-facing online portal and digital service delivery (DSD) platform. The DSD platform provides significant benefits for both the Commission and its customers.
Our website has been refreshed to better support injured workers, employers and insurers to understand the role of the Commission and our dispute resolution pathways. The website has a range of special features for customers including access to the online portal.
We have produced a series of videos that describe the role of the Commission, illuminate the processes for resolving workers compensation disputes, and explain what workers can expect at each stage of their case. The videos have been produced in English as well as six other community languages. The full suite of videos can be found in the publications section and under the relevant dispute pathways of the Commission’s website.
In 2018/19 the Commission again demonstrated strong performance in its operations and the delivery of justice to the people of New South Wales. As the only agency in New South Wales operating a dispute resolution service in the workers compensation area, the Commission can be well satisfied with the year’s results.
I commend to you the Workers Compensation Commission’s Annual Review for 2018/19.
