Edition No.51
This edition was issued on 23 June 2023
Welcome
In this edition, we have a summary of the successful launch of the Commission’s single digital platform, Pathway.
I will be in touch with another edition of the Personal Injury Commission News soon.
Regards,
President
The new ‘Pathway’ single digital platform launched successfully for Motor Accidents users this week
The Commission’s new single digital dispute resolution platform called ‘Pathway’ launched successfully for Motor Accidents staff, decision makers and users earlier this week.
I would like to thank the many of you who have already registered to use the Pathway platform. Over 750 legal representatives and 70 insurance company staff have joined Commission staff and Motor Accidents decision makers on the platform since Tuesday.
Applications and replies are being successfully lodged and registered, events and medical assessments scheduled and decisions submitted, sealed and shared via the platform.
As anticipated and as is the case with the launch of any major new IT platform, there have been some minor initial teething issues across the week. However, on the whole, the platform is operating as intended and is well-placed to provide a better experience for all users as people continue to become familiar with the technology and settle into using it.
Aligned to the launch, we did experience higher than usual support phone call and email volumes and I would like to thank those of you who contacted our team for help for your patience as the team works through the volume of requests.
The launch of this first phase of the Pathway platform for Motor Accidents users is an important milestone for the Commission. When Workers Compensation users move to the platform early next year, all Commission staff, decision makers and parties will have a single place and a single way to engage in the dispute resolution process online.
Reminder: Insurers and legal representatives need to register to use the Pathway Portal the first time they access it
Users of the former Insurer and Legal Portal who need access to the new Pathway Portal need to register to use it the first time they visit the Portal. If you haven’t done so yet, the link to the Pathway Portal, where you can register, is available on the ‘Applying online’ page of the Commission website now.
Support Available
User guides and eLearning modules are available on the Commission website for your reference as you continue learning to use the platform.
